Global Fashion Company H&M, major funders of the Healthy and Ready Learn Initiative at the Children’s Health Fund visited PS 36 Margaret Douglas School on Tuesday December 16, 2014. The company donated over 500 backpacks filled with hats, gloves and scarves for all of the students.

The Healthy and Ready Learn Initiative is a school based pilot program which was implemented at the Margaret Douglas School in District 5. The model brings healthcare and education professionals together with parents to provide hands on solutions for treating health conditions such as asthma, poor vision, hearing impairments, and  behavioral issues that can improve overall educational progress and well being.

The H&M Conscious Foundation has fully supported the school based pilot program. PS 36 would like to thank H&M for their generous donation. All of the students were extremely excited and looked great in their new gear!  Thank you to H&M for their kindness and generosity!
